“Better to light a candle than to curse the darkness” (Chinese proverb).

Because, yes, we are specks of dust, but we also are the Mirror of the Universe… I sometimes think we are Its awareness, like the sensory part of a navel-gazing Whole which discovers itself, bit by bit, through our own eyes and thoughts. It is possible that this is our very access to a privileged position of observers and contemplators… So, let’s continue to search, discover, contemplate and elate ourselves, then we will become some important specks of dust!

Bitter cold, discomfort, boredom, for hours, while the multitudes whirl above you. But none of this will you remember from this night, spent in the total silence and the absolute purity of a plain which recovered its aura from the depths of time… No, what will rather remain engraved in your memory forever, is this huge, this deep loneliness, that swells from your heart whereas you gaze at this sublime spectacle of billions of other worlds, an eternally inaccessible infinite. Then, the certainty that your photos and you are nothing more than an ephemeral eye blink, and that your people will not last much longer…

Run, run, none of this will remain.
